Exhibition: Queer Nightlife

Welcome to the exhibition Queer Nightlife. With over 1000 photos, 100 posters, videos, histories and objects the exhibition showcases queer and LGBT nightlife in Norway 1950-2018. The exhibit is open from June 2nd 2018 until November 2018. Come as you are and experience this grand exhibition with over 1000 photos, 100 posters, videos, histories and objects which the exhibition showcases the importance of nightlife for queer and LGBT persons in Norway and Bergen from 1950 until today.

The exhibition, which opens June 2nd at 8 PM, will be at the University Museum, at the address Haakon Sheteligs plass 10/Muséplass 3. The exhibition stands until June 2019 and is open during the museum opening hours: 10-4, Tuesday through Sunday. It will be closed from Dec 16th, 2018 until March 1st, 2019.

One of the EXHIBITING ARTISTS is Paulina Tamara from Bergen. She will be showing over 100 photos in a series entitled #letstalkaboutthepinkelephantintheroom. Photographer Fin Serck-Hanssen and graphic artist Inge Ås have also been invited to show their interpretation of queer lightlife and history. 

Entrance will be FREE during Bergen Pride/Regnbuedagene, June 2nd-10th. After this, entrance will be 60 NOK, 30 for seniors, and free for students, employees of University of Bergen, school classes and children. 

The exhibition is an arranged by Skeivt arkiv, and curated by Kunstplass, et visningssted for samtidskunst.
Skeivt arkiv collects, conserves and communicates our queer history.
