Gro Lindstad

Gro Lindstad (1960-) was a central activist in Det Norske Forbundet av 1948 in the 1980s, and an important figure in the establishing of Landsforeningen for Lesbiske og Homofile (LLH) (National Association for lesbians, gays, bisexuals and transgender people). Lindstad was the first leader of LLH, from its establishment in 1992 and until 1998. She has also been a chairperson in the Health Committee for Homosexuals (Helseutvalget for homofile) and a prominent international human rights activist. Since 2011 she has been the head of FOKUS - Forum for Kvinner og Utviklingsspørsmål (Forum for Women and Development).
